Clarity over noise
We help businesses say what they do in plain language so a new visitor can quickly judge whether the service fits.
About Vellu Digital
We help service businesses improve how new customers find, understand and contact them online — without inflated promises or hidden scope.
Our story
Vellu Digital started with a simple observation: many service businesses have websites that look fine but do not actually help a serious customer decide. A plumber, accountant, landscaper or cleaning company does not need a website that wins design awards. It needs a website that explains the service, answers the questions a buyer has and makes the next step obvious.
We work remotely with service businesses anywhere in the world. We are based in Cape Town, South Africa, but geography is not a limit on who we work with, and our clients are not limited to a local agency that happens to be nearby. What matters is whether the business, the customer and the scope are a good fit.
Our approach is deliberately practical. We do not promise first-page rankings, guaranteed return on ad spend or overnight results. Instead, we focus on the work that genuinely moves a business forward: a clearer offer, a more useful website and a better path from search to enquiry.
That approach comes from working directly with owner-run and small-team service businesses. We take part in the same conversations: what a customer asks before they book, which services carry the business, what the owner can realistically maintain and what should never depend on one person remembering it. That first-hand view shapes the plan, the order of work and what we advise against — which is why we ask how the business actually operates before we discuss design.
We would rather show our working than ask you to trust a headline. When we recommend something, we explain what it can influence, what it cannot, and how we will check whether it helped. Where this website describes results or client feedback, the detail comes from the business involved and is published with permission — and it never guarantees the same outcome for another business.
Our mission
We help businesses say what they do in plain language so a new visitor can quickly judge whether the service fits.
We do not build a sales message around rankings, results or proof that cannot be supported. Trust is earned with accurate information. That is why we name the limits of a service as openly as the benefits, say so when a request is out of scope, and would rather lose a project than advertise a promise we cannot keep.
Every page, campaign and improvement should serve a clear business purpose. If it does not help a customer decide, we question whether it belongs.
Why service businesses
A customer choosing a plumber, accountant or landscaper is not comparing products on price alone. They are comparing trust, availability, service area and fit. The website has to answer those questions.
For most service businesses, the website exists to generate qualified enquiries. That changes how we design pages, write copy and measure success. Clicks and views matter less than the right enquiry.
Our approach
We review the services, customers, current website and the job the website must do.
We map the pages, message and actions before the build starts. Scope and responsibilities are confirmed in writing.
We create the agreed experience and test it across common screen sizes and customer paths.
We check the customer journey, publish the approved website and support ongoing improvements where agreed.
Meet the team
Vellu Digital is founder-led. Bradley leads the strategy and planning work and stays involved from the first conversation through to launch, supported by the designers and developers who build the site. Your questions go to the people doing the work.
We are a small, focused team. That means your project gets direct attention from the people doing the work, not a handoff between departments.
Client outcomes
Results depend on the market, the offer, the competition and the effort behind the website, so an outcome in one business is not a forecast for another. Any result we publish is described with how it was measured and over what period, and a client's own wording is kept intact.
We have written up three engagements in full, covering the problem, what we changed and what the business reported afterwards. Read the case studies.
Transparency
We describe work we delivered, information the client supplied or a limit we identified. When we report an outcome, we say how it was measured and over what period, and we keep the client's own wording intact.
No guaranteed rankings, guaranteed enquiry volumes or guaranteed advertising returns. No ratings we have not received, and no client names or logos we have no permission to publish.
Domain, hosting and website ownership are agreed in writing before work starts, so you always know which assets belong to your business and what happens when an arrangement ends.
If we get something wrong, we say so, correct it and explain what changed. When a recommendation does not perform as expected, we report that plainly and propose the next correction.
